When you book an appointment through Bookova, we collect:

Appointment details (service, date, time, business)
Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card numbers)

To confirm and manage your appointment
To send SMS appointment reminders (only if you opt in)
To process payments via Stripe

3. SMS / Text Messaging

    SMS Consent: By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box during booking, you agree to receive appointment reminders and notifications via SMS. This consent is not a condition of purchase.
  

Message frequency: Typically 2–3 messages per appointment (confirmation, 24-hour reminder, 2-hour reminder).
Msg & data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS at any time. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
To get help: Reply HELP or email support@bookova.app.
We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share your information only as necessary to operate the platform:

The business you book with — they receive your name, phone, email, and appointment details.
Stripe — for payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Twilio — for SMS delivery. Subject to Twilio's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your booking and contact information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Withdraw SMS consent at any time (reply STOP)
